Manage Question Bank

    Question Bank allows you to manage your questions used in modules as review questions.

    Accessing Question Bank

    1. Click on “Content” from the left navigation.
    2. From the fly-out menu, click on Question Bank

    Navigating Question Bank

    1) Navigation to three sections of the Question Bank: Manage Questions, Create Question, and Import/Export Questions. 

    Please note: Manage Questions is the home page for question bank

    2) Clicking on the “Filters” Icon will reveal a list of filters that will narrow your questions list to a specific selection.

    Within the filters panel, there are four types of filters: Categories, Keywords, Type, and Created On.

    Categories:

    By default, we have 5 categories listed. If your category is not there, click on “more…” link.

    This will reveal all available categories to filter on.
    In the “ More Categories” window, click on the categories you like to filter on and click “ done”.

    You will see the Categories section updated with the new categories checked and the list updated based on the selected categories.

    Keywords:
    Click on “Keywords”, this should reveal a keywords field. 
    Here, you can start typing your keywords, you should see suggestions appearing at the bottom of the filed.

    Please note: these suggestions are based on existing keywords in the Question Bank.

    Clicking the suggestion will add the keyword to the list as well update the questions list.

    You can add multiple keywords by selecting them rom the suggestion list one at a time or, pressing enter on your keyboard once you typed in the keyword in the field or clicking “Add” button. Click on (X) next to the keyword to remove it from the list.

    Type:

    By clicking “type” heading, you should see selection for the type of questions you would like to see.

    Created On:

    This option will help you filter by date the question has been created on.

    Created On filter has to options: "From” and “To”. These are dates fields that let you filter between two dates. Clicking on any of these fields, spawns a calendar. Select your date from the calendar, click close, the filed should populate with that date. Do the same for To filed.  Once you have 2 dates, click on “Update” this will update the questions list.

    3) Search field is where you can type and find a specific questions either by typing in a specific word or an ID of the question.

    Search field has a suggestion feature. While you type your search word, you should see a list of suggested questions listed below the search field. Clicking on the suggested item will take you to that specific question.

    4) Clicking on the question will open and preview the answers as well as additional info, such as question ID, Similar Questions and Related Questions.

    Under Action column, clicking More” link will reveal options to delete or copy the question. 
    Clicking on the “ Edit question” icon will take you to edit page.

    Please note: A disabled “Related Moules” button indicates that there are no related modules associated with this question.

    5) You navigate through the questions list using the bottom navigation where you can set how many pages to display per page and navigate between pages. 

    Sorting and bulk editing

    Sorting:

    Within the table header, you can click on Type or Created to sort the current list ascending or Descending. 

    For example, you can sort the list by date created from oldest to newest or vice versa.

    Bulk Edit:

    Currently, you can Delete or Copy multiple questions at a time. 
    By clicking on the “ Select All” icon on the left side of the header (left of Question item), you can select all questions on that page.

    Once all questions have ben selected on the page, you have access to two buttons located on the bottom: “Delete Items” and “Copy Items”.

    For any of these actions, you will be prompted to confirm deletion or copying of the questions.

    Please note: you can change the size of the page (number of items on one page) using the page navigation on the bottom of the page to select more questions or navigate to next page to select more.
