Quicker / Easier Ways To Assign Training

3 QUICKER / EASIER WAYS TO ASSIGN TRAINING

These new features will help speed things up and simplify assigning training modules. This applies to the Registrar role (and Manager if that you have that role enabled to assign training).

Can be turned off or on in Registrar / Settings / Features Control /

QUICK ASSIGN - TO INDIVIDUAL OR MULTIPLE STUDENTS

We have eliminated a couple steps to get to the actual training assignment actions page.  From your home page, click the ‘Users’ tab. This now takes you directly to the Students page. Here you will see two new buttons for each student:

View Training:

Opens up the list of the training assigned to that student, which you can view in ‘Full’ or ‘List’ view. If you want to assign, re-assign, withdraw, or archive training - just click the ‘Manage Training’ as usual.

Assign Training:

This takes you directly to the existing ‘Available Training’ page where you assign modules and/or curriculum to a Student.

IMPROVED: ASSIGN TO MULTIPLE STUDENTS

Click on Users tab, then click on button [Assign To Multiple Students].

Improved: Once you have selected the Students and/or Student Group(s) to assign the training to, click [Next] button. You will immediately see a list of all the Students and/or Student Groups you selected so you can double-check, then either [Continue] or close the list to change your selections.

ASSIGN TRAINING FROM MODULE(s)

  1. Click the ‘Content’ tab on left and go to the ‘Modules’ page.
  2. Select a Module you would like to assign to Student(s) and click to open it’s ‘tool drawer’ (little triangle)
  3. There is a new blue button “Assign To Student”. Click that and then you will see a list of all Students, with that one student already selected. Click the Continue button to finish assignment, or…
  4. Right here you can add more students or even Student Groups to assign this module to. When you click on a Student Group, it will open up to show all the students inside it and you can select ‘all’ or individual students. Note that those students selected also show as selected in the individual Students list on left.
  5. Click ‘Continue’ button at bottom to finish the assignment process, or you can review who this module is being assigned to by clicking the ‘Students’ button beside that, and you can remove some or all Students here.

OR USE THE ‘CLASSIC’ METHOD

You can still do it the ‘old’ way:

  1. From your home page, click Users tab on left
  2. Click on name of Student
  3. Click ‘Online Training’ tab
  4. Click ‘Manage Training’ button.
