Archive Training

Remove from view modules that don’t matter any more!

When an employee has been assigned module(s) for a particular job/equipment type, then is transferred to a different type, the warnings about training expired/expiring continue to show and email (if set up) for the old module(s).  You need to keep record of that training, but having those old modules ‘active’ and showing as ‘expiring’ or ‘expired’ can cause confusion.

To fix this, we have added the ‘archive training’ feature.  This is controlled by the Registrar role (and Manager role, if you have it set to allow Managers to assign training).

From your home page, click on the Users tab at left then click on Manage for the appropriate student and then Manage Training. On this list of training assigned to the Student, the left side has 2 columns of red icons: Re-Assign and Archive.  “Archive” is new.  For info on Re-Assign, see https://help.aerostudies.com/article/21-recurrent-repeat-training-assignment.

For the module(s) you want to archive, click the Archive button(s), then click the blue ‘Next’ button at bottom. Read the confirmation and if OK, click Submit at bottom.

IMPORTANT: This will archive the current existing progress for a student in the selected module(s). The process is NOT reversible. It will remove the module(s) from the Student’s desk and active assigned training lists.  It will still show in the appropriate training history records though.  This will also stop any email notifications (ie: Expiring Soon) associated with the archived module(s).
